Detailed information is provided to patients prior to proceeding to endoscopic procedures. This includes:

• benefits and risks of each procedure
  
• how the procedure is conducted
  
• how patients prepare for the procedure(s). This includes instructions on bowel preparation for colonoscopy
• what happens on the day of the procedure(s)
  

If a patient is scheduled for gastroscopy and / or colonoscopy, and has questions not answered by information provided by Dr Forbes' rooms, an appointment should be sought to meet with Dr Forbes in formal consultation prior to proceeding with the procedure(s)
